Sleepy Land's Exclusive Bot

A dream economy that turns with the day and the night.

Sleepy is built on two paths. Take the dreamwalker and you earn dreams through the day, take the nightmare-beast and you earn nightmares through the night. Chatting, sleeping, fishing and the events all pay in your side's own coin, and the bazaar sells roles, items and perks for it.

Sleepy runs on one private server, Sleepy Land, and there is no invite link for it. Everything below is what the room actually plays.

The Server's Day and Night System

One clock drives everything. It opens on the day phase at 03:00 UTC and alternates every three hours, so the world never sits still: the rooms are renamed, every role colour is repainted, the room is told the phase turned, and a member earns in full on their own side and half off it.

Day

  • 🌅sunroom Lounge, named for the day phase
  • 🎮 playful-sprites Games, named for the day phase

Night

  • 🛋 after-dark Lounge, named for the night phase
  • 🎮 playful-beasts Games, named for the night phase

Every role, repainted

Every role Sleepy paints carries a day colour and a night colour, and the turn edits them one by one: the six level tiers, the cosmetic roles from both shelves, the two prestige marks and the roles the guild made for itself. The names below are painted on Discord's own background, in the colour each phase gives them.

Systems

Fifteen of them run side by side and every one is a command. The numbers below are the live ones out of Sleepy's own configs, not a marketing round of them.

Two paths, one choice

Sleepy runs on two sides. The dreamwalker walks the day and earns dreams, the nightmare-beast walks the night and earns nightmares, and choosing a side pours the coin you earned before it into that path's own currency.

  • A phase pays in full on your own side and half off it.
  • Four pool rungs run from 25,000 to 250,000 coin.
  • A swap waits 7 days and burns a fifth of what you leave.

Sleep and the haunt

/sleep is the main source of coin. One roll pays well unless it turns into a nightmare, which pays less, and about one sleep in twelve does.

  • A good night pays 10 to 500, then waits an hour.
  • A nightmare pays 10 to 100 and leaves 5 haunting messages.
  • 5 % of nightmares end in a theft of 2 to 50.

Nightmare in a Jar

/jar seals another member's next nightmare, so whatever that night steals comes to the member who sealed it. A jarred night always tries, and it takes far more than a natural one.

  • A jarred theft takes 10 to 250.
  • A victim cannot be jarred again for 24 hours.
  • Your own weave is off limits, and the jar is not spent.

Bella's Underworld Bazaar

Twenty-three wares on the bazaar shelf and eight on the beast's, across six shelves: cosmetic roles, consumables, tickets, gambles and permanent perks. Every ware waits behind a level and a pool rung.

  • A cosmetic role costs 25,000.
  • Permanent perks run from 30,000 to 100,000.
  • Dream Come True costs 10,000,000 and hands over a month of Nitro.

Night Side items

Five items change what happens when you sleep. Each one sits in your pocket until its effect actually fires, so a night that did not need it does not spend it.

  • A Nightlight blocks a theft and a Serum stops a nightmare.
  • A Dreamcatcher doubles what was stolen and gives it back.
  • A Blanket Fort skips the cooldown, and Ghost Taffy triples a good night at 65 %.

The Orwell and the Undertow

The clock picks the depth you cast into: The Orwell through the day and The Undertow through the night, three hours each. Sixteen species rise from them, and a catch sells at the market while its own depth is running.

  • Base prices run from 1 to 2,500.
  • A cast waits 30 seconds, and market prices swing 50 % a phase.
  • 0.2 % of casts land the 1984 collectible, which pays 1,984 a day.

The spirit chase

/whistle spends a Spirit Whistle and a stray spirit drifts into the channel. Every member lunges at it, it hops to another plaza room after each click, and the lunge that lands the last hit takes the payout.

  • Four tiers pay 500 to 3,000.
  • A stray drifts in on its own every 45 to 90 minutes, but only while the room is awake.
  • A sabre adds 20 % to every lunge, and incense pins the spirit for one click.

The dream journey and the sleepover

A journey spends a ticket on a three chapter dream road, where the answers you give decide which ending pays. A sleepover invites a member to share one roll instead: both are paid the same, plus a bonus each.

  • A ticket costs 1,500.
  • The three endings pay 200 to 2,000.
  • A shared sleep adds 50 each and cuts the nightmare chance to 1 in 24.

Pillow fight

Challenge another member to a duel with a wager behind it. The two fighters pick a technique in turn, a move locks the moment it is picked, and neither sees the other until both are in.

  • Wagers run from 50 to 100,000.
  • Slam beats swipe, sweep beats slam, and swipe beats sweep.
  • The winner takes the whole pot and a tie refunds both, with no rake.

Divination

One tarot card per phase, drawn only in the phase you walk in. Most cards wait for your next sleep, and one of them changes the rest of your day.

  • The deck holds 78 cards, and each lands upright or reversed.
  • Cards multiply dream payout by 1.4 and nightmare payout by 2.5.
  • The Wheel of Fortune doubles every xp you earn until the day ends.

Truth or Dare

A card the whole room plays. Three buttons roll a fresh prompt in place, and the card stays where it was posted for as long as the room keeps using it.

  • The banks hold 146 truths and 47 dares.
  • A rewarded dare pays 100 coin, or 150 for a pillow fight.
  • Five dares are settled by the command they ask for, and one guarantees a nightmare.

Weaves

A weave is a family tree you grow with /weave. Adopting a child or marrying a partner waits on the other member's answer, and /weave tree draws the whole thing as one image.

  • Create, adopt, marry, divorce, disown and leave.
  • An invitation waits 5 minutes for an answer.
  • A marriage carries its own role, and you cannot jar your own weave.

Levels

Chat and every feature feed a second ladder, and that ladder decides what the bazaar will sell you. The six level roles are granted as you climb and never taken away.

  • Six roles, from Sleepy at level 1 to Insomniac at level 25.
  • A message pays 2 xp and a sleep pays 30.
  • Insomniac returns half of every xp award as coin.

Music

Sleepy runs the whole sirens-songs voice room from one live card: a progress bar under the song playing, and pause, resume, skip, stop, volume, like and rate buttons on it. Songs arrive by name, by url or as a whole playlist link, any song can start at a timestamp like 42:07, and the queue is worked by number or by part of a title: promote a track, remove one, clear the queue and undo the clear.

  • Nineteen subcommands: play, discover, lyrics, liked, queue, current, promote, remove, clear, undo and the rest.
  • Discover draws a run of songs in the same vein as one seed, or as a song drawn from your own liked list, and never plays the seed itself.
  • The Like button on the live card fills a Liked Music playlist you can queue whole from a paged card.
  • A song whose audio will not download waits at the end of the queue and retries three times beside playback, so the room never stalls on one track.
  • Party mode drops a beat-synced anim gif under the card, and the room's five presses (fit, no fit, too calm, too busy, perfect) decide which clips come back.

Soundbite

A round of guess the song that the whole voice room plays, and a separate game from the player. Everybody presses Ready, five seconds of a song this server has already played comes out from the middle of the track, and nothing says which song it was.

  • 1,000, 800 or 500 coin by how fast you name it.
  • The card offers one replay after 30 seconds, and taking it pays 250.
  • A near miss still counts when most of the name is there.
  • The room can vote the round closed, and the reveal carries a New round button.

How it is built

Sleepy runs on Cloudflare's edge, and every piece of state a game has to survive a restart lives in a durable object of its own.

Cloudflare Workers

Each command arrives over the HTTP interactions endpoint and is checked against Discord's signature before anything runs, so the worker holds no gateway socket of its own.

Durable Objects

Ten of them hold what a game needs to remember: a chase, a fight, a haunt, the day's tarot deck, the dares board, a sleepover invite, a consent request and the world clock itself.

D1 and the ledger

Dreams, nightmares and xp live in D1 beside the shop purchases, the catches, the jars and the per day earnings counter the dashboard reads.

R2 and SVG rendering

Family trees, dashboard charts and embed media are drawn as SVG and rendered to an image on the edge, with font packs pulled from R2 when a name needs characters the default set does not carry.

A small node gateway

Voice, music playback and member joins all need one long lived socket, so a zero dependency node process on one host holds the gateway and forwards to the worker over a shared secret.

Workers AI

Some dares ask for a screenshot with particular words in it, and a vision model reads the picture to settle them.
